THE FEATURES OF THE NEWSCASTS FILMED BY THE EDITORIAL OFFICE OF NATIONAL LANGUAGES BROADCASTING OF KARELIAN TV

When writing this article one printed source and five online sources were used and four workers of the office of national languages broadcasting of Karelian TV were interviewed.
The purpose of this article was to consider an audiovisual translation used in newscasts from both theoretical and practical points of view. For reaching this purpose an audiovisual translation was considered as a part of Russian and Finnish translation studies and its types were considered as a needed theoretical basis for analyzing the usage of an audiovisual translation in news filmed by the Karelian editorial office of national languages broadcasting. A historical aspect of the development of an audiovisual translation in work of editorial office of national languages broadcasting of Karelian TV and some information about the news filmed by it were also mentioned and the newscasts to find some necessary parts of the news were analysed.
All the translation strategies mentioned by the journalists were analyzed with finding examples for every single aspect of translation. As a result the conclusion that even without having any strict rules of translation the journalists of the office of national languages broadcasting of Karelian TV use the same translation strategies in the given cases was made. HISTORY OF APPEARANCE AND ESTABLISHMENT OF AUDIOVISUAL TRANSLATION IN THE WORK OF THE EDITORIAL OFFICE OF NATIONAL LANGUAGES BROADCASTING OF KARELIAN TV

When writing this article we used eight print sources, seven online sources and interviewed five workers of the editorial office of national languages broadcasting of Karelian TV.
In this article we have considered an “audiovisual translation” as a term of Russian and Finnish translation studies and the types of audiovisual translation. We have followed the history of audiovisual translation in the work of the editorial office of national languages broadcasting of Karelian TV and learned why journalists had began to use audiovisual translation in their work and which programs should be translated. We also have distinguished the key phases of the history of audiovisual translation made by the editorial office of national languages broadcasting of Karelian TV and found out how the audiovisual translation of programs filmed by the Karelian editorial office is made and the cases journalists prefer subtitling over voice-over and vice versa. LANGUAGE IMAGE OF ATTITUDE TO WORK IN THE DIALECT OF THE KARELIAN LANGUAGE (ON THE EXAMPLE OF LAZY PERSON)

In this article, we focused on the image of a lazy person. We set the following tasks to attain our main aim. First, we have to identify different words used to nominate the lazy one.Second, to conduct a comparative analysis of the selected lexemes in dialects (and, if possible, in patoises) of Karelian language.Third, to determine how the primary meaning of these words affects their secondary meaning, which has a lazy as a connotation.The present material is relevant and new, since it has not been previously considered in studies of the Baltic-Finnish languages. Syntactic functions of the instructive of II infinitive in the Veps language

STAGES OF FORMATION OF OIKONYMIC SYSTEM OF VESHKELSKAYA VOLOST
Petrozavodsk State University, anastasia20085@mail.ruAnnotation: The article points the reconstruction of the process of formation of ancient Veshkelsky settlements located on the Western Bank of lake Syamozero and inhabited by Livvi-Karelians. The dynamics of the development of the oikonymic system is restored on the basis of historical written sources dating back between XVI-XX centuries: scribal books (XVI-XVII centuries), revision tales (XVIII-XIX centuries) and lists of localities (XIX – XX centuries). Cartographic and archival data and field collection materials were also considered. Three oikonymic models are presented: - l / - lu-oikonymic model, oikonyms that include the term selgy ‘mountain, hill’ in their structure, and oikonyms that are identical to anthroponyms. The relevance of the study is to identify a certain chronological distribution in these models. The etymology of names that go back to calendar and non-calendar names is given. DISPLAYING NEGATIVE HUMAN TRAITS IN DIALECTS OF THE KARELIAN LANGUAGE (on the example of household items)

The relevance of this research is determined by the first attempt to analyze the names of household items. In addition, the presented scientific article offers a classification of everyday vocabulary based on its secondary nomination as a way to give an assessment of the actions, appearance, and character of a person in the Karelian language. To achieve this goal, the following tasks are defined: identifying the names of household items in sources, determining their secondary nomination and role in the language picture of the world, and classifying the collected material. The solution of the tasks assigned to us was carried out using comparative and ethnolinguistic methods.
